In the port of Beira, Mozambique, Qceas worked with Marine Masters to remove fuel and refloat a fishing vessel that had capsized and sunk. The first priority was obviously to remove the diesel fuel from the fishing vessel. Upon completion, the fishing vessel was untied and pulled to deeper water upside down. By refloating the vessel upside down, we were able to avoid expensive heavy equipment that was not available in Mozambique. This made this a time and cost-effective solution.
The local authorities gave permission for the vessel to be placed on the beach in an inverted position for further salvage and demolition. Qceas and Marine Masters were supported by local authorities, companies and contractors who played a key role in the successful completion of the job.
